Opinionation
As most of us (should) know, art is opinion. But, to make opinions an art? That, my friends, is something different. Many people try to persuade using opinions. Facts, enforcing their opinions always surface in the process of persuasion. Those who secede to 'facts' presented to them, such as religious teachings step backward by acquiring their stalwart belief. However, it does give us more insight into human flaw. Fear of the unknown is undoubtedly the most common fear, a very significant plausible flaw. Over the past one hundred or so years, we have improved the technological development rate by several times in comparison to the thousands of years humans have been on the planet. Our advances have made many fears disappear, with the very science that so many people reject. Our fear of the unknown has diminished, but is still displayed in one of the most basic aspects of life. Death is what I am speaking of. Death is neither good nor bad, yet people detest it, because society has associated it as so. It is a pointless, counter-productive way of thinking. Before I continue, I would like to say I have never lost anyone important to me yet. Although this statement may make me seem like a hypocrite, I do know that this can be used to help people get over pain and loss. Anyway, people over the course of time have created, in the midst of their pain and sorrow, a paradise after they die. Heaven is a place people have created in their minds. It is an existence that will supposedly take away all bad things in life, and make everything good. It is a hopeful man's place. The masses were twisted and convinced to believe this and the bible down to the dot. People hoped for a better life after death, and worked hard in order to stay sinless. Eventually, these people developed unique, individual ideas and turned the religion on its side. These people, our ancestors, passed down their teachings and what was once benign cancerous tissue has become a malignant tumor, threatening the progression of today's technological development and impeding the process of progressive individuals.
That's my opinion.
That's my opinion.
